Writers of the Square Page Survey

Please go to the following website and complete the poll. I need your ideas to make our club better!

WOTSP Poll

Party

Remember, there will be a “winter break” party coming up!

If you put your name on the sign-up sheet, please remember to bring said items.   We could all use some extra hands.   Two-liter soda bottles, treats, snacks, and whatever else (even pancakes) will do.

Also, hopefully those of you that signed up and paid for a shirt should have one now.  They look very nice!

Wed 16

There will be a meeting this week, the sixteenth of November!  Sorry for any inconveniences last week.

For the NaNoWriMo-ers out there: please be aware that there is a site dedicated to all of you!  I have mentioned it in the previous post, but allow me to post it again:

http://www.nanowrimo.org/

It includes FANTASTIC tips for writing, a community of writers/participants, goals, keeping track of where you are, rewards for meeting your goal, and if you so choose it can even allow you to subscribe to the write-ins here in Bloomington. :-)

From now on, there will be a little box (to your left) that shows when the next meeting is.  This way moderators of this webpage will no longer need to constantly update a post for every future meeting, only for cancellations, reminders, and other things.  There is also the possibility of allowing authors to request some of their work shown on the website. While this has not been approved yet, this idea seems like a good one.

Happy writing!

(psssst .. other Moderators of the page .. please help out on the page too!)

Updates

There was no meeting this week — sorry for the inconveniences.

On the other hand, there WILL be a meeting next weak on the 16th of Novemeber.

NaNoWriMo

Taken from kliterary.com

It’s that time of the year!

NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) takes place in the month of November, and is the reason why this group had been brought together!  While are group isn’t solely based off of NaNoWriMo, a lot of the group members still partake in it.  There’s no reason why not to: it is encouraged that we all look into it.

We also recommend you look into the NaNoWriMo site: you can create an account, publish stories, connect with other writers, and establish a goal for the month.  This site also explains the rules and extras about it, in case you’re still in a pickle.

It is also brought to our attention that T-shirt orders are coming up.  Please turn those in if you haven’t already!!

Now, we have entered Quarter Two.  By now (hopefully!) you should have submitted what we have done during the first quarter.

Never let those ideas cease to flow, and happy writing!

This Week

Just a quick reminder that there will not be a meeting this week (Wednesday, the 26th of October).

From now on, all site administrators will sign the post to let you know who’s writing it. Feel free to ask/add comments and explore the site, even when it is under construction.

Happy writing,
- Kati
